Water intake is essential to perform at your best both physically and mentally. Did you know 60% of your body is made up of water? That’s why it’s crucial to make sure you’re giving your body an adequate amount each day, so it has the change to properly recover and perform all the functions it needs to do in order for you to be at your best.
How much water should you be consuming?
You are often told you should be drinking water, but never told how much water intake you should have. Here are some recommendations for how much water you should be drinking each day.
Men: 1 gallon
Woman: 3/4 of a gallon
This should be the goal and if you’re working out, it’s especially important to strive for these numbers.

Easy way to make sure you’re getting enough water?
Order a gallon jug, here is a link to the one I bought off of Amazon. Simply fill it up each morning and bring it with you everywhere you go and by the end of the day make sure you have hit your goal.
Another tip you can incorporate is start off by drinking 2 16 oz bottles in the morning before breakfast. This will only leave you with 6 16 oz bottles if you’re a male or 4 16 oz bottles if you’re a female. Starting the day off this way sets you up for success for the rest of the day.
